This policy explains what information Magee Lighting, LLC collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It covers mageelighting.com, quote.mageelighting.com, and the services we provide.

We are a holiday and decorative lighting company serving the greater Atlanta area. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

Information you give us.

When you request a quote: your name, email address, phone number, service address, property type, the service and package you are interested in, any add-ons, your payment plan preference, your preferred install date, and any notes you write.
When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
When you become a customer: the above, plus your project details, install dates, and payment history.
When you email or text us: whatever you choose to include.

Information collected automatically.

Bot protection. Our quote and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real people apart from automated abuse. Turnstile receives technical signals from your browser for that purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy documentation for details.
Server and hosting data. Our host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, in the ordinary course of serving the site.

Payment information. We do not collect or store your card number. Payments are processed by Square, which handles your card data directly under its own privacy policy. We see the fact of payment, the amount, and the last four digits.

Photographs. We photograph and record completed installations. See Section 7.

3. Why we use it

We use your information to:

Prepare and send you a quote or proposal.
Schedule your consultation, installation, and removal.
Send you invoices and payment reminders.
Send you the information you need before install day, such as how to prepare your property.
Perform the work and provide service during the season.
Keep records of your project, including for warranty, tax, and legal purposes.
Answer your questions and provide customer support.
Send you marketing email, if you have not opted out.
Comply with the law and enforce our agreements.

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information with service providers who help us run the business. Each one gets only what it needs.

We may also disclose information:

To subcontractors and crew members who need it to perform your installation.
To professional advisors such as our accountant or attorney.
When required by law, subpoena, or a valid government request.
To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers or the public.
To a buyer or successor in connection with a sale of our business, in which case we will notify you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. How long we keep it

We keep quote records for as long as needed to follow up on the request. We keep customer and project records for as long as you are a customer and afterward for as long as we need them for warranty, tax, accounting, and legal purposes, generally at least seven years. We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it.

6. Your choices

Marketing email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You may also email alec@mageelighting.com to opt out.
Text messages. We text you about scheduling, install day, and invoices. Reply STOP to stop. Doing so may affect our ability to reach you about your project, and we will use email and phone instead. We do not send marketing text messages.
Access, correction, and deletion. Email alec@mageelighting.com and tell us what you want. We will respond within a reasonable time and will verify your identity first. We may need to keep some information to meet legal and record-keeping obligations, and we will tell you if that applies.
Photographs. See Section 7.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. Email us and we will honor any right that applies to you.

7. Photographs of your property

We photograph completed installations and use those images in our portfolio, on our website, on social media, and in advertising. We do not publish your name, street address, or house number without your separate written permission.

If you do not want images of your property used, email alec@mageelighting.com. You may do this at any time, before or after installation. We will stop using them going forward and remove them from the channels we control within a reasonable time. Images that other people have already reshared, or that appear in printed materials already produced, may not be recoverable.

8. Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, tag managers, or other third-party tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of your browsing.

Two limited, functional exceptions apply:

Bot protection. Our quote and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which may place a temporary token in your browser to confirm that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated bot.
Staff sign-in. Our internal staff tool at quote.mageelighting.com sets a sign-in cookie so our own team stays logged in. This cookie is only ever set when a staff member signs in. It is not set for customers browsing the public site.

Because we do not track you across sites and do not serve targeted advertising, we do not display a cookie consent banner. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this section first and add any consent tools the law requires.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls on our internal tools, encrypted connections, and limiting the data our systems can reach. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email alec@mageelighting.com and we will delete it.

11. Third-party sites

Our site links to other sites, including social media and our payment processor. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. If the change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you directly.
